Ask

"Ask, and it shall be given you...."

Read: Matthew 7:7-8

Are you in need? Do you need help solving a problem? Are you feeling unfulfilled? Fortunately, Jesus gives us actions that we can take to get the help that we need in our lives. He commands us to "ask," "seek," and "knock." Whatever our needs, great or seemingly-trivial, let's ask because our Lord provides. Seek Him because he will show us answers, solutions. Let's knock on the doors of Heaven because "to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Our Heavenly father cares about our fulfillment and that our needs are met. He wants us to trust in Him. Have you asked God for help with anything lately? Do you take your needs to God in prayer? Do you take time to speak to Him regularly?

He's listening.

A great personality strength of educators is that we tend to be leaders and problem solvers. However, we can accomplish even more and develop many more solutions than we already do if we are willing to collaborate and ask for assistance when we need it. We are strong. We are brave. We are leaders. Let us also be willing helpers to others while also being willing to ask others to help us and to share in our struggles. As members of the body of Christ, we do not have to take on the challenges of this life alone. In these moments of overcoming obstacles together, we build stronger relationships with those around us and establish connections through which we can represent Christ's love and lead others to Him.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for assuring us that we can ask for your help and that when we seek you, you are here with us - that we will find you. As we journey through this life together as members of the body of Christ, please lead us to knock on doors that will ultimately bring glory to you. We serve you and ask for these blessings in Christ's name. Amen.
