"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Read: Philippians 4 As educators, we spend our time serving our communities and working to motivate our students and colleagues to believe in themselves and accomplish great works because we know they can, and we believe in them. It's why we do what we do. As we press forward in our mission to educate and motivate, let us also heed this truth for ourselves. After giving so much of ourselves to our communities, we can feel empty, unsure if we are on the right path, doing our best, or truly being successful. Remember Paul's advice in his letter to the church at Philippi, especially the first, which was "stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved." After all, "God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Let us remember that - in addition to the children and communities we serve - we, too, are children, disciples. We will continue to accomplish great works, even if we may never see the full extent of the impact we have made on the individuals we are serving. God has a plan for us. PRAYER: Father God, we thank you for this day and for the reminder to "stand fast" in you. Please guide us to seek you and to recognize the ways you work in and around us to provide strength and fortitude, especially as we work to strengthen our students, colleagues, and communities. We serve you and ask for these blessings in Christ's name. Amen. --Devoted Educator
