"According to your faith be it unto you."
Read Matthew 9:1-38 and 2 Corinthians 9:6.
Throughout the gospels, we read of Jesus' many miracles. Although we read about His miracles of the past, let's also remember that He touches our lives with present day miracles as well. He asked the blind men, "Believe ye that I am able to do this?" They were healed as he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it unto you." Educators, have faith in the Jesus. Hear Him as He says, "Son, be of good cheer" and "Daughter, be of good comfort." Believe that Jesus is working miracles in your life and has great plans for you, and you will see His work come to fruition in your life and the lives of your communities.
As we make efforts to believe and grow in our faith in Christ, let's also remember His words to His disciples at the end of Matthew 9: "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." Are you are laborer for God today? As you work, are you working for Him and His kingdom? In 2 Corinthians, Paul and Timothy remind us that "he which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully." Let's work for Him and put our faith in Him, and we will experience abundant blessings in our lives.
How does this transfer to our school communities? Do you believe in our students' abilities to meet and exceed our expectations for them? Do you have faith that they can reach high expectations? Do you tell them that you have faith that they can succeed? Do you pray for them in faith that Jesus Christ will work miracles in their lives and that we can make a difference in their lives? Do you have faith that the work we do to support our schools will have a positive impact on our communities at large? Do you work with a sense of purpose and with faith that Jesus is working miracles in you and through you? You should. He is. Believe.
PRAYER: Gracious, Heavenly Father, we come to you today in faith that your Holy Spirit is moving for us, in us, and through us. Thank you for filling us with hope and purpose in this life. As we labor into the harvest, please guide us to fulfill your will for us and to continue to have faith in you. We serve you and ask for these blessings in Christ's name. Amen.
