They shall bring forth fruit!
Read: Psalm 92:13-14 and Jeremiah 17:7-10
With the arrival of summertime, we can reflect on the growth of our students and colleagues, of seeds we've sewn in them, and of seeds they've sewn. How sweet is the fruit of your labor? Did you strive to model Godliness in your daily actions and grace in your reactions to others?
When you let your light shine, others see Christ in you. We have special opportunities within our school communities to lead in ways that spread the light of Christ in everyday moments that affect and influence multitudes of people.
This summer, seek to plant the roots of your faith deeper into the Lord's garden. Read and reflect on a daily Psalm. Take time for yourself to delve into Bible-centered prayer and meditation. Join a book study group. Start or mix up a daily prayer routine with your family. Volunteer at your church, a community agency, or a mission trip. The fruit you bear will certainly have a positive impact on you, your family, and your school community.
PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, for filling our hearts with a love for our students and communities and for providing us with fertile soil to sew seeds of your goodness and hope. Please guide us to reflect your glory to others and to grow stronger in your light this summer. We serve you and ask for these blessings in Christ's name. Amen.
