Expect Miracles Read: Psalms 62 and 78
We know that, if we set the bar of expectation high, people will either rise to meet our expectations or, at the very least, rise further than they would have if we hadn't shown that we had faith in them. This concept is helpful in goal setting with students. They need to know that we believe in their abilities to achieve growth. We may not know what their exact outcomes may be, but we can spark hope in them and help them reach greatness even beyond what they may have originally thought possible.
As Christians, we need to hold fast to our hope that lies in our faith in Jesus Christ. As children of God, we should expect miracles in this life and beyond. We can read in Psalms and all throughout the Bible of the "wonders" and "marvelous things" God has done. David says, "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him." Let's also be like David, expecting God's blessings in our lives and knowing He can work wonders for us that we cannot even imagine to be possible.
Is your school community facing struggles? Are you or someone you know coping with worries? Trust God. Pray. Express your faith in His wonders and unending grace. He will lead the faithful to realize amazing solutions.
PRAYER: Father, thank you for opening our eyes and hearts to the wonders made possible only by your glory. Please lead us to inspire hope and faith in others. We serve you and ask for these blessings in the name of Christ. Amen.
